Genocide(1) puts an end to Goose’s(3) kill streak
March 29, 2007 8:03 PM

Our little dance started last week when I waited outside his apartment in my car for two hours.  Finally he comes out to walk his dog (at 6:30am).  Not sure if it was him, I walked around to get a closer look.  We make eye contact, and each of us says “hey”.  It was then I realized his hand was clenching his gun.  We both drew our weapons at the same time and ran backwards to avoid the spray.  For the next 10 min, there was a FIIIIIIIRE FIIIIIIIIGHT!  6:30am, ducking behind cars, dodging the best we could, all while he’s trying to pick up his dog and run back to his apartment….I can’t imagine what the neighbors thought.  Long story short, it was a failure.  Neither of us let the opponent get close enough to hit.  I’d failed and on top of it all, he knew my face now.

Fast forward to almost a week later.  Knowing he had a meeting I decided to wait near his apartment.  Luckily there  was only 1 open parking spot and it was right in front of the community laundry room, which is where I decided to wait.  It was the perfect spot, it was dark outside except for the bright light above the laundry room door, and the lights in the laundry room didn’t work.  This created a mirror effect that let me see out, but nobody see in.  I waited for his car to pull up, ducked behind the door to make sure he didn’t see me with his headlights, and waited till he turned off his car.  Peeking out the window I watched as the passenger got out.  Using her to set my timing, I decided to jump out once she had closed her door and took a few steps.  Being no more than 10 feet away from the car I swung open the laundry room door gun a blaze’n, and ran towards him.  He must have been looking for something in the car because half his body was in, and half was out.  It was quick and easy, a few shots to the back and he was mine!

The best part was having him hand me his card.  As he says “now, which ones mine?”  fanning out the 4 hokie war cards he had.  I’d just killed the top assassin.

This isn’t Sparta, THIS IS BLACKSBURG!!!

That’s more like it. 3 More down, and only 16 more to go. You’re probably next.

Goose(3) kills bigred(1)

Well, it felt almost too easy, and it was. I actually do need a car for next year. My target listed his for sale on the vt car club website that I frequent, so I contacted him and arranged to come see the car.

I get there and spend a good while talking with my target, probably 30+ minutes. He was a real nice guy and a lot of fun to hang out with, so I felt bad for pulling out my water pistol and taking him out.

Kill # 3 for me, and I was feeling pretty confident. I had not had an encounter with my assassin for a week, so I thought someone had gotten him during that time. I had been to kroger and tried to take out my phone make a call, but dropped it under my seat. When I got home, as I had my car door open and was moving my seat, I felt a cold wet stream on the back of my head.

I turned around, and that was it. Just like in Top Gun, Goose dies lol.

That’s my side of the story, I’ll let my assassin tell his side because it is a pretty good one (especially our first encounter).

bigred I hope we can still be friends lol

It was 10:30 Thursday night as I ran down the halls of West AJ. I saw my guy, cocked back my arm with water balloon in hand, and right as I was about to release my ammo he yelled out, “NOOOOOOOO”. He knew he had met his end and reluctantly coughed up his life card. Now in the words of one of my favorite comedian, Dane Cook, “Were gonna Tarantino it, were gonna take it back and figure out how what happened!

Well being an assassin virgin I was excited after I got back from spring break to get started with the Hokie war. I got my target and immediately began searching; facebook, myspace, Hokie stalker, but alas I found nothing I could use. So then I decided to go check out his room. Survey the area if you will. When I got there my target wasn’t home but his neighbor was. I popped my head into his room and casually asked when Adam would be back. He gave me a blank stare and them replied, “Who?” It seemed like nobody on the hall knew my target. Over the next few days I kept visiting his room hoping to catch him leaving for class or something, but again I got nothing.

A week had gone by and my target decided to take a little weekend hiatus, and I figured I could catch him on his return. I went to stake out his hallway and tried to keep my cool as I waited for him to come back. I brought along a couple of friends for moral support but while we were chatting to kill the time I missed my target coming out and going to the restroom. This was a big blow to my moral, he was right in front of me and I totally missed him. I began to get desperate and made the executive call to try and get some info from his hall mates. I mean what was it gonna hurt to tell them what I was doing, as far as I knew they barely knew the guy, and rarely saw him leave his room. Right? WRONG. It turned out his whole hall was in on it. They were protecting him and giving me faulty clues. After I found this out I was more determined then ever to kill my target.

The next day I got a tip off about my target that said he was in Bio lab, so I waited and waited and waited but I never saw him. I had spent the almost the whole day searching for him but at the end of the afternoon I had nothing to show for my effort.
Thursday came and I decide to put my search on hold to celebrate my 20th birthday with friends. We were eating ice cream and having some good laughs at Deets when all of a sudden tons of people started pouring out of AJ. They were having one of their notorious fire drills. This was perfect my target was forced out of his room and completely vulnerable, there was just one problem I didn’t have my water gun with me. One of my friends jumped out of her seat, ran next door to the mini mart and then quickly returned tossing a bag of water balloons at me. “Happy Birthday,” she said. I broke open the bag, grab a few balloons, and ran to the bathroom to fill them up.

Stocked with water balloons I began weaving in and out of the mass of people waiting outside the dorm. I couldn’t find him and I knew that the drill would be ending soon, so I ran around to a different door and as soon as the drill was over I made a mad dash to get into the building. I ran to the elevator hoping I would beat my target up to his room on the 6th floor, and thankfully I did. All I had to do was wait for him to start walking down the hall towards his room and it was all over.

So there you have it, one down and eleven more to go. Better watch out I’m a rookie on a mission ;)

A Call To Arms

Filed under: News and Updates, Kill Stories — webmaster @ 9:58 pm

Apologies for the lack of updates but…well…there really aren’t any. What’s going on guys? This lack of action is pretty disappointing. By normal rules, those of you without kills right now would have automatically been terminated, but we’ve been nice about that. Probably too nice. But that’s it.

If you haven’t killed a single person you now have Rogue Agents after you, and I’m sure you know who are you. And if that doesn’t get you going: If you still have 0 kills by Monday at 12:01 AM, you face instant elimination. Now get to work, or at least reply back to this post and talk some smack!

I will have to admit you were extremely difficult to catch. Being patient is all that this had to do with. After waiting 9 hours one day with no luck, I went back and tried to think of a good way to catch you off gaurd. 3 days later I got a tip from someone in your neighborhood that you had left your apartment. I immediately went over and about 30 minutes after I got there, you showed up. All I had to do was step out of my car and it was over. I do commend you on being extremely difficult to track down though, you were a worthy target!

Rule #76

Filed under: News and Updates — webmaster @ 6:00 pm

No excuses, play like a champion! FYI, those of you who haven’t accomplished a single thing have only two days to make it happen before we send some effin ninjas on you! If I haven’t heard about any action from you, that basically means you haven’t done anything! So you guys better start blogging up some good, funny, believable stories or face the wrath of HokieWar.

There was a kill yesterday but no story was reported back so I’m expecting the rest of you to pick up the slack with some good stuff this weekend. Enjoy the warm weather and do your best to keep from getting wet.

Competition growing fierce

Filed under: Kill Stories — webmaster @ 5:24 pm

Though yesterday seemed pretty quiet without any reported kills, we can assure you from the stories we’ve heard that there was much detective work and close calls going on. Some cocky assassins even had the audacity to leave clues to their targets about their recent whereabouts. To keep you all motivated, we’d like to share a kill story, courtesy of Goose’s genius and Mugglekillah’s myopics:

Goose(1) comes at Mugglekillah(0) like a spidermonkey (he’s all jacked up on Mountain Dew):

I had a very difficult time tracking my target down. Putting a lockdown on facebook, myspace and aim all made finding information about them nearly impossible. Even some bad information lead me on astray, but then, a breakthrough.

As I waited for my target early this morning across from their apartment parking lot, I saw her leave and get in the car. I cautiously followed, at least 4-5 car lenghts behind. Into the commuter lot we go, and as she parks we locked eyes. Surely she suspected something, but I kept calm and continued driving. After I parked I was able to spot her from quite a ways away. Bright colors on a drab day are not your friend.

I followed her into the chemp building, where I ran into one of my friends. “Hey, have you seen…” and described my victim. He pointed me in the direction she went. So I go in, and sure enough, there she is. I take a seat on the opposite side of the room from them, and the professor starts talking. I always wanted to take astronomy, but could never get in. So to fit in, I took out my notebook and began to take notes on the lecture, all the while keeping a watch on my target from the corner of my eye. Sitting there, sipping her coffee, bright shirt and all… she had no idea what was coming.

45 minutes later the class ends, I pack up my things and follow her out the door. Then something unexpected happens, instead of following the crowd, she veers off. Surely, she’s picked up on something. I wait outside for about a minute, and anxiously go back inside. I see her waiting for the bathroom, so I continue through the building and wait.

After a short while I go back around the corner, past the bathrooms, and towards the main doors. If she isn’t here now, I think to myself, this may have to wait. But fate was on my side today, as she walked out right behind me. I even held the door for her, looked her right in the eye and smiled. As we walked outside, I had my hand in my pocket on my watergun. When we were about 5 feet apart I pulled out my weapon, squeezed the trigger, and it was over. In utter shock and a look of disgust she said, “Oh damn, are you for real?” To her misfortune, I was.

Look out, because I’ll find you too.

Day 1, Three Down!!

Filed under: Kill Stories — webmaster @ 9:37 pm

The first day is just about up and already three assassins have fallen! Congrats to DrDonkeypunch4 for making the first kill of the game! Check out the story below and don’t forget to submit your kill stories by clicking on the “[Info]” button in the “Player Stats” box after you confirm your kill. Alternatively you can always email us as well or just post up on the blog!

To those of you who are still alive, congrats on that feat. We’ve heard some pretty good stories of evasion, but we’ve also heard some pretty bad stories of failed kill attempts. You may wish to employ more stealth in your reconnaissance work if you want to make it to the cash prize!

DrDonkeypunch4(1) surprises bigez(0) with liquid vengeance:

I knew the dorm which my target was in, so me and a friend went to throw a baseball in front of the building for surveillance. After about 25 minutes the target left his building and I followed him down a set of stairs. The target was completely unaware that his end was near. After i was sure that it was the correct target, I uttered his name and he turned around and all that came out was ‘oh no”. His two companions were completely in shock that a random kid just ran down the stairs and shot their friend.
